For the first time, farmers who grow niche crops (buckwheat, millet, rye, oats) will receive state compensation. The Minister of the Minagropolicy Roman Leshchenko wrote about this on his official Facebook page.

“To compensate, the Minagropolicy has allocated UAH 50 million from this year's state support. We expect that it will give an opportunity to stop a growth of prices for buckwheat, millet, rye and oats. Moreover, it will make the production of these crops profitable”, - the Minister noted.

Roman Leshchenko said that for transparency of mechanisms for distribution of dotations to farmers, the Minagropolicy has made a draft law Procedure for the use of funds. It is currently being approved by the Government. Immediately after its adoption, the collection of applications from farmers will start.

The subsidy will get to the agricultural producers - legal entities, regardless of the organizational and legal form and ownership. It can also be individual entrepreneur who do not have bankruptcy cases; are not in the process of liquidation; does not have outstanding debt after taxes more than six months.

Producers will receive subsidies non-refundable per hectare of arable land where buckwheat, rye, millet and oats were grown (excluding post-harvest crops).

The amount of the subsidy will be up to 5,000 hryvnias per hectare, but not more than 300 hectares of arable land per applicant.

The Minister marked that all types of crops that are subsidized this year have been approved by an order of the Minagropolicy.

Roman Leshchenko said also that by October, 15  all declarants must give to regional commissions such documents as:

• application for a subsidy;
• certificate about opening of current account, given out by a bank;
• a writing obligation to return money in case of establishing the facts of their illegal receipt and / or no-purpose use;
• act of sowing seeds;
• final report on the results of sowing for the current year's harvest (form №4 agricultural);
• harvest certificate.

“After processing the materials by the regional commissions and the Minagropolicy of the regional state administration, they will send the funds to the accounts of the recipients. Payments will be carried out already this year! ”,- as stated in the report.
