«Currently, the share of agrarian export to Denmark has amounted to $40 million, while the import has accounted for $35 million. However, we import not only food products, but the animal genetics too, which is the best in the world. In comparison, we hope for increasing the domestic export.

Taras Kutovyi, the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, expressed an interest in cooperation with the Kingdom of Denmark in agricultural sphere. 

«Currently, the share of agrarian export to Denmark has amounted to $40 million, while the import has accounted for $35 million. However, we import not only food products, but the animal genetics too, which is the best in the world. In comparison, we hope for increasing the domestic export. I believe, the Ukrainian production would become interesting to the consumers of this country and we will gradually expand the export potential and range to the Danish market » - Taras Kutovyi stressed during the business meeting with the representatives of the Government of Denmark.

The Minister stressed that Ukraine is ready to expand own export and open to cooperation with Danish investors: «We already have the successful experience of activity the Danish investors in Ukraine. The experience should be continued and developed. The meeting between representatives of the Governments of both countries – is a positive step».

Moreover, speaking about the reform process in Ukraine, the Minister stressed the importance of elaboration the joint comprehensive strategy for agriculture and rural areas development (2015-2020) and facilitate doing business in Ukraine, in particular, the adoption of 100 certificates and permits during the past period. According to the Minister, reforms in deregulation sphere will continue.

«Besides, the priority directions of our activity are land issues and rural development. We consider the implementation of procedure, which would give a special preferences for expected to participate the development of rural areas and provide new jobs, especially in rural areas» -the Leader of the Ministry added.

Moreover, according to Taras Kutovyi, implementation of the main priorities of agricultural development is not possible without adequate funding. That is why the strategic and most important direction for Ukraine is attracting investments into agriculture sector. «We will provide the additional possibilities for investors which are interested to agriculture sector in Ukraine » -Taras Kutovyi stressed.
