«The priority task before us today is the revival and development of rural areas.
Agriculture is a locomotive of the Ukrainian economy. Currently farmers are the major part of agricultural producers. In spite of this, rural development is an important condition for further development of the agricultural sector. Taras Kutovyi, the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine stated this in a speech during the international conference: “The Rural Areas in Conditions of Decentralization: State, Possibilities and Prospects”.
«The priority task before us today is the revival and development of rural areas. Therefore it is needed to apply the territorial-oriented approach to the management of rural areas development, to concentrate on investment attraction, to promote the development of cooperative models and other effective forms of production organization, to conduct the explanatory work among farmers and provide the organizational support in creating new cooperatives» - the Leader of the Ministry noted.
Taras Kutovyi stressed that the major tasks for rural development are indicated at the State Strategy for Regional Development, 2020.
« I believe, the rural development should be based on the improvement of rural education and infrastructure development. The government and local authorities should to contribute the processes in an effective manner», - the Minister added.
