FAO has launched a tender to support Ukrainian farmers with temporary storage solutions
Such data was reported by the Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine on European Integration Olga Trofimtseva.
Exports of Ukrainian agricultural and food products reached $ 14.7 billion in the 10 months of the current year and showed an increase of 22.7% or $ 2.7 billion compared to the corresponding period of 2016. While imports increased by 8% and amounted to $ 3.6 billion.
Such data was reported by the Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine on European Integration Olga Trofimtseva.
"It is worthy to mention that India (11.3% of total exports), Egypt (7.5%) and the Netherlands (6.9%) have formed the three leading countries among the importers of our agricultural products in January-October 2017. At the same time, the global regional breakdown of agricultural exports has not changed: we have exported to Asia more than 42% of our products, to the EU countries - 31,9% and to African countries - 14,7%",- said the Deputy Minister for European Integration.
She added that during the ten months of the current year, supplies to the world markets of following products has increased considerably: apricot, cherry, peaches, plum - $ 8.6 million, wheat flour - to $ 17.7 million, sugar - $ 121.4 million, meat and offal of poultry - to almost $ 83 million, butter - to $ 69.1 million, frozen beef - to $ 36.1 million, bakery and confectionery products - to $ 23.8 million, extracts of malt, flour products, cereals - $ 52.6 million.
"These statistics confirm our preliminary forecasts for increasing the annual volumes of agrarian exports by 15-20% in 2017 compared to the previous year", - summed up Olga Trofimtseva.
