According to the results of January-June 2018 Ukrainian agrarian exports amounted to $ 8.6 billion. The total foreign trade turnover of agricultural products reached $ 11,3 billion, which is 3.5% increase compared to the same period of last year and represents 23% of total foreign trade turnover of Ukraine.

This was reported by Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine on European Integration, Olga Trofimtseva.

"According to the results of the first half of 2018, Ukrainian agro export totaled $ 8.6 billion. Last year, Ukrainian agricultural exports reached record results and amounted to almost $ 18 billion. This year we also expect no less than last year result, given the situations on the world market for such goods as grain (cereals) ", - stressed Olga Trofimtseva.

According to the deputy minister, grain with a share of 36.8%, vegetable oils - 26.2% and oil crop seeds - 7.5% remain the goods-leaders of Ukrainian agrarian export. At the same time, for the first half of the year, the highest growth rate of export showed the following commodity groups as: poultry eggs - by 2.1 times (by $ 27.7 million), apples, pears and quince - by 5.3 times (by $ 6.7 million), leguminous vegetables, shelled or unshelled - by 58.3 times (by $ 11 million), butter and other fats made from milk - by 65.2% ($ 29.2 million) and others.

According to her, the regional structure of Ukrainian agrarian exports has not changed: the first place goes to the countries of Asia with a share of 43.2%, the second place is taken by the countries of the European Union - 30.4%, and in the third place are the countries of Africa, with 14.6% share.

"Top 5 of our biggest customers in 2018 are led by India, where agricultural and food products were exported for more than $ 1 billion. Followed by Egypt - $ 575.9 million, China - $ 526.6 million, the Netherlands - $ 525.3 million, Spain - $ 470.3 million, "concluded the Deputy Minister for European Integration.
