Ukraine has already sown 1,260,000 hectares of grain and pulses on the Ukraine-controlled territory. Of which, in particular:

• wheat – 173,900 hectares;
• barley – 683,400 hectares;
• peas – 147,700 hectares;
• oats – 117,000 hectares.

Last week, the country’s farmers sowed 408,600 hectares of grains and pulses. Most of all:

• Kyiv region – 23,000 hectares of wheat, 39,300 hectares of barley, 4,700 hectares of peas and 3,600 hectares of oats.
• In Ternopil region – 18,900 hectares of wheat, 63,600 hectares of barley, 3,600 hectares of peas and 5,100 hectares of oats.
• In Khmelnytskyi region – 14,800 hectares of wheat, 59,100 hectares of barley, 2,600 hectares of peas and 2,500 hectares of oats.
• In Zhytomyr region – 13,700 hectares of wheat, 15,900 hectares of barley, 2,600 hectares of peas and 17,900 hectares of oats.
• In Vinnytsia region – 11,500 hectares of wheat, 52,300 hectares of barley, 6,000 hectares of peas and 1,100 hectares of oats.
• In Poltava region, 6,500 hectares of wheat, 73,000 hectares of barley, 8,500 hectares of peas and 2,300 hectares of oats. Farmers in Poltava region have completed sowing early grains and pulses.

Sunflower was sown on 470,100 hectares.

Sugar beet is planted on 157,600 hectares. The largest area is in Vinnytsia region – 42,000 hectares.

Farmers in 15 regions have started sowing corn. They have already sown 120,000 hectares.

Farmers in Mykolaiv, Odesa, Khmelnytskyi and Kherson regions have started sowing buckwheat and millet.

Soybeans are being planted in 9 regions.
