Today, the grain market is the key and strategic in the agricultural sector of Ukraine. It largely determines the pace of development of the agriculture and the economy as a whole, guarantees the food security of the state. According to her, grain production has not fallen below 60 million tons over the last five years in Ukraine, reaching a record 70.1 million tons in 2018.

She added that the 2018 / 2019 marketing year could become a record-breaking for the export of grain crops - about 49 million tons. Today, more than 39 million tons have been exported.

“Cooperation with international organizations and companies remains one of the priority areas of foreign economic activity of our country. We actively cooperate with both - market participants and international organizations, in particular FAO, AMIS, the International Grain Council (IGC) and others to determine the optimal ways of developing efficient agricultural production and ensure access to food, ”said Olena Kovaliova.
