Mykola Solskyi, the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, discussed the problem of demining of Ukrainian territories, the execution of the humanitarian food programme "Grain from Ukraine" and liquidity provision to farmers with Ramiro Armando de Oliveira Lopes da Silva, the Deputy Executive Director (WFP).

Mykola Solskyi emphasized that for the spring sowing campaign, it is important for Ukrainian farmers to know that they will not be unprofitable. The Minister suggested that as part of the programme "Grain from Ukraine", grain purchases should be made under the following scheme: 50% of the prepayment in spring to purchase grain, and the other half at the market price in autumn after the yield is harvested.

The representative of WFP said that they were ready to help solve the logistical problems of Ukrainian agricultural exports and suggested bringing together major global market players to try to find a solution together.

Ramiro Armando de Oliveira Lopes da Silva confirmed WFP's readiness to launch the demining project and emphasized that they would help demine not only Kharkiv oblast, but also Mykolaiv region, and noted that it was very important for them to support Ukraine. He added that the World Food Programme would consider other possible options to help Ukraine.
