«The opening of such complex is an extraordinary event for development of Mycolaiv region. American partners have already invested to the building of oil processing plant $180 million. It is one of the biggest investments to the Ukrainian agro-industrial complex for the last years.

The capacity of new production and transshipment complex in Mycolaiv sea port will allow Ukraine to increase the export of oil and grain to the global markets.

Taras Kutovyi, the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, stressed during the opening of complex “Bunge” in Mycolaiv. The modern complex of American company “Bunge” includes one of the biggest oil processing plant in Ukraine, oil liquid and expanded grain terminal.

«The opening of such complex is an extraordinary event for development of Mycolaiv region. American partners have already invested to the building of oil processing plant $180 million. It is one of the biggest investments to the Ukrainian agro-industrial complex for the last years. Thanks for activity of this complex we are able to export 4 million tons of grain per year, it`s more than $360 million of export revenues» – Taras Kutovyi stressed and expressed the hope that Ukrainian and American partners will continue to cooperate in the field of development of infrastructure in the South of Ukraine.

The Minister reminded that currently development of irrigation system is a prospect direction for investments in the South region.

«The effective irrigation system is one of priorities for strategy reforms «3+5», created by the team of the Ministry.  The representatives of American Trade and Investment Mission to Ukraine have already supported this strategy» - the Minister noted.

The company “Bunge” has been operating since 2002 year on the Ukrainian market. Today it produces the sunflower oil and mayonnaise with trademarks “Oleina” and “Rozumnytsia”. The “Bunge” controls about 30% of bottled oil of the Ukrainian market.
