The Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Roman Leshchenko signed a Memorandum on Cooperation with Alkhorayef Group — one of the world`s leading company in the production of irrigation equipment.

In his post on Facebook Roman Leshchenko said “the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine continues the efforts to strengthen international support for irrigation reform in Ukraine. Alkhorayef Group, one of the world`s largest player in the field has assured us of its consideration and expressed its readiness to cooperate with Ukraine. I had a personal meeting with management of the Company in Saudi Arabia. In the city of Riyadh I was given a detailed presentation at the company's production facilities.”

Alkhorayef Industries is the third largest manufacturer of irrigation equipment in the world and first in the Arabian Peninsula. It operates across 40 countries. The Company produces leading industrial, agricultural and irrigation equipment.

The intentions to cooperate were laid down in the Memorandum of Cooperation with the Ministry. The Memorandum envisages implementation of an investment project for the production of irrigation equipment in our country.

The Minister said “we are pleased that such a giant as Alkhorayef Group sees a prospect in development of the Ukrainian agrarian sector, particularly, irrigation projects. I am convinced that our arrangements will enter a new phase of realization in the nearest future”.
