In January-February 2019, as compared to the same period in 2018, the export of agricultural goods increased by USD 683.8 million, which is 24.4%. The exports amounted to USD 3.5 billion. Olga Trofimtseva, acting Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine reported.

"Agricultural and food products in the total export of Ukraine accounted for 43.9%. The leaders among the exported goods were corn (33.6% share in total agrarian exports), sunflower oil, safflower or cotton oil (20.13%) wheat and mixture of wheat and rye (11.84%), - noted the acting Minister.

Moreover, in the first two months of this year, export of such products as corn increased by 84.4% (by USD 528.4 million); wheat - by 27.8% (almost USD 90 million); oilcake and other solid waste obtained during the extraction of sunflower oil - by 39.7% (by USD 55.8 million); rape seeds - by 82.1% (by USD 30.2 million); cake and other solid waste of soybean oil - 2.1 times (by USD 26.2 million)

"If we consider the regional structure of exports of agricultural products, we will see that most of all we exported to Asia (USD 1.38 billion), followed by the EU countries (USD 1.25 billion), African countries (USD 559 million) and CIS countries (USD 217 million) ", - added Olga Trofimtseva.

The TOP-10 largest importers of Ukrainian agricultural products in January-February 2019 included: India 9.6%, Egypt 9.1%, Turkey 7.8%, the Netherlands 7.4%, Spain 6.7% , China - 5.8%, Italy - 3.8%, Poland - 3.3%, Germany and Belarus with a share of exports - 2.9%.
