American Trade and Investment Mission to Ukraine Supported the Strategy Reforms «3+5» Created by the Ministry

The Leader of American Trade and Investment Mission to Ukraine noted that American part adheres to the position of developing the bilateral cooperation. The representatives of the Mission also assured in their political support for reforms in Ukrainian Agro-Industrial Complex and readiness to exchange of experience in sphere of investment development of agriculture sector.

American Trade and Investment Mission to Ukraine is ready for deepening cooperation between our countries in the field of investments and maintains the strategy for reforming of agricultural industry with title “3+5”,elaborated by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine. Michael Scuse, the Head of the Mission and United States Deputy Secretary of Agriculture, stressed this during the meeting with Taras Kytovyi, the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.

The representatives of the Mission also assured in their political support for reforms in Ukrainian Agro-Industrial Complex and readiness to exchange of experience in sphere of investment development of agriculture sector.

Taras Kutovyi, the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine noted the importance to support the small Ukrainian farmers and start the more advanced processing of agricultural products.

 «We have to create all conditions for investment cooperation in the field of agricultural food production with a higher added value, organic production and processing industry »– the Minister stressed.

 

The Leader of the Ministry added that currently important to adopt a number of bills for transparent and effective turnover of agricultural lands and to create a mechanism of economic incentives for farmers who are ready to develop and invest to the land for a long term.
