“The process of reforming of public administration is gaining momentum. In 2018, several more directorates are to be created, which will become the key units for policy development in all areas of responsibility of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine” - stated the State Secretary of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Vladislav Andronov in an interview with one of the Internet publications.

"We are faced with a large number of people willing to take part in contests for new job positions: more than a thousand candidates were admitted to twenty-two vacancies. In conditions of fierce and uncompromising competition, it has been possible to identify 5 winners, yet for 13 positions the contests are not completed. The main thing is that there is a clear understanding - the reform is running, and there's no way back", - Vladislav Andronov stressed.

In his words, the confirmation of transparency in personnel selection can also serve the fact that as a result of competitions for 10 positions, winners are identified in only half of the cases.

Vladislav Andronov also reminded that in 2017 two new directorates were created in the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine – general directorate for food safety and quality, and general directorate of strategic planning and European integration, and the competitive selection is ongoing.

Thus, for the position of Director General of the Directorate for Food Safety and Quality claimed 23 candidates, Mykola Moroz became the winner. Full information on announcements, course and results of competitions is available on the web-site Career.gov.ua and on the official site of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.

"A new generation of civil servants is a competent, skilled, proactive specialist who can work in a team and result-oriented. Applicants who want to hire vacancies in directories are tested for analytical abilities, the ability to work with information both textual and numeric, on the knowledge of legislation. Also, they are going to face with situational tasks. Applicants are tested for communicability and stress resistance. Knowledge and skills are assessed by a specialized commission ", - noted the State Secretary of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.

In addition, Vladislav Andronov noted that the task put in the framework of civil service reform is to turn the Ministry into an effective governing body, which initiates qualitative and timely solutions for the implementation of the chosen strategic course.
